The label on Don Gonzalo wines shows a chapel, which actually exists, and is the reason for the estate’s name “La Capilla”, a place where the grapes used to make these wines are born. Looking from the hillside of the Andes Mountains, the chapel has been watching over the vineyards for many years.
It was built by Italo Tonelli with the idea that his two daughters would marry there in the future. His dream finally came true, as Jorge and Maria were married in the chapel.
The picture of the chapel that appears on the label was designed by María Tonelli.

Now the archbishopric of Mendoza has asked us to lend it to them to celebrate mass in the area. Because of all this, we believed that this chapel represents much of the history of this wine and deserved to be its image.
