Winemaking

The process for making Don Gonzalo wines starts with the harvesting of grapes. This is done by hand with the use of shears.  Grapes are placed in 20-kg vats and then emptied into very small trucks, seeing that they are not harmed before they arrive at the winery.

barricasAt the winery, the winemaking process is the traditional one for red wine, except that in all cases, the wine is stored in 225-liter casks made of French oak, where they remain to achieve maturation and complexity.

The bottling is done with the best of care possible in order to preserve all the qualities of the product.

Labeling is done manually, as we seek the perfection required for a high quality wine.

Finally, we can say that the whole process of making this wine is artisanal, which means that every step is taken care of in detail, to make sure that all bottles contain the same quality product.
